Terms & Conditions

1.              Registration & Enrolment

1.1  New/continued enrolment of the student indicated shall be conditional upon, inter alia: (a) the student's suitability and availability; (b) payment of deposit, registration fee and lesson fees; (c) advance payment of the upcoming term's fees before the first day of term.

1.2  In the event of mid-term enrolment, the student shall only be entitled to receive materials from the date on which he/she begins attending class.

1.3  In the event that the student does not turn up for classes in the term, and the fees for the term remain unpaid as of the first day of term, the deposit shall be forfeited and the space in class released.

1.4  Origin Storey reserves the right to, and shall in its sole discretion: (a) transfer, combine or dissolve classes and/or; (b) terminate the student's place in any class should the need arise.

2.              Payment

Unless otherwise stated, all payments are non-refundable and non-transferrable to another party.

3.              Attendance & Rebates

3.1  Origin Storey shall neither refund nor issue a rebate for any part of the fees in the event that the student fails to attend more than 1 class in a term, except with the approval of Origin Storey.

3.2  In the event that the student fails to attend a class without prior notice, Origin Storey may at sole discretion, allow the student to make up the missed class by attending another class during the same week provided that: (i) there is another class with a vacancy, or (ii) Origin Storey approves scheduling a lesson at a different time slot.

4.              Withdrawals & Refunds

4.1  A written notice of withdrawal must be given at least 1 month before the end of the term. If sufficient notice of withdrawal is submitted, Origin Storey shall refund the full deposit amount and up to 2 sessions worth of lesson fees.

4.2 In the event that less than 1 month of notice is given, Origin Storey shall not refund any part of the deposit, and all rebates and refunds shall be forfeited.

4.3  No mid-term withdrawals are permitted. If immediate withdrawal is insisted upon, Origin Storey shall not refund any part of the deposit, and all rebates and refunds shall be forfeited.

4.4  In the event of withdrawal before the term commences, Origin Storey shall not refund any part of the registration fee.

4.5  Upon completion of Primary 6 Term 3, the student will “graduate” from the programme, and Origin Storey shall automatically refund the full deposit amount and fees for up to 2 lessons missed during their final term.

5.              Intellectual Property

5.1  Unless otherwise stated, Origin Storey owns the intellectual property and/or licensing rights subsisting in all materials distributed or used during classes. In relation to materials, copying, reproducing, modifying, distributing, displaying, performing or transmitting in any form or by any means whatsoever (including mechanical, electronic, recording, photocopying or otherwise) are prohibited.

5.2  The parent/guardian hereby agrees to grant Origin Storey a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, transferrable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, and display such works of the student created in class or in preparation for class (in whole or part) worldwide and/or to incorporate it in other works on any form, media or technology now known or later developed.

6.              Safety

6.1  While Origin Storey will take reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of the student, Origin Storey assumes no liability for personal injury, loss or damage of any kind whatsoever which may be sustained by the student in undertaking any activity during the class, whether under the discretion of Origin Storey or otherwise, and generally for any such injury, loss or damage howsoever caused except by the wilful default of Origin Storey.

6.2  The parent/guardian hereby releases Origin Storey from all liability for such injury, loss or damage of any other kind whatsoever which may be sustained by the student in undertaking any activity during class or/and in the premise, whether under the direction of Origin Storey or otherwise, and generally for any such injury, loss or damage howsoever caused except by the wilful default of Origin Storey.

6.3  Origin Storey shall not be liable for any default due to any act of God, war, strike, lockout, industrial action, fire, flood, drought, tempest or other event beyond Origin Storey's reasonable control.

7.              Personal Data Protection

7.1  Origin Storey will seek the parent’s/guardian’s consent to copy, reproduce, display, distribute and use any photographs or videos taken of the student within the Origin Storey premises.

7.2  The parent/guardian consents to the collection, use and disclosure of his/her personal data as well as the personal data of the student in accordance with the purposes specified in the Personal Data Protection Notice. 

8.              Overall

Origin Storey and these terms contain the whole agreement between the parent/guardian and Origin Storey and supersedes any prior written or oral agreement between them relating to the student's enrolment and the parties confirm that they have not entered into this agreement on the basis of any representatives that are not expressly incorporated in Origin Storey and these terms.
